Absence in term time is not authorised, other than in very exceptional circumstances. You can read more detail about attendance the policy in our School/Policies.
We work closely with Newcastle City Council to monitor attendance. Fines are issued in some circumstances which are outlined in the policy. You should contact the office if you wish to request absence from school.
We want all of our children to have as many opportunities as possible to learn . Children who are absent frequently miss out on important stages of learning and it is not always possible for staff to go back and support children though what they have missed.
Our attendance is higher than average, locally and nationally.
